Dr. Mark Calandro received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 1986 from Cleveland Chiropractic College, Kansas City, Missouri.  He graduated "with recognition."  Previously, he had received a Masters of Arts in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling in 1975 from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, Colorado with a 3.97 G.P.A.  Also received was his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau, Missouri where he was a varsity football quarterback (full scholarship).

He has been in private chiropractic practice since 1986.  He has taught Psychology, Sociology, and Human Growth and Development at the college level.  Dr. Calandro was the Executive Director, Director of Rehabilitation Services, Vocational Counselor and Job Placement Specialist prior to "discovering the wonders of chiropractic." 

He has served as Examiner for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners since 1998.  He has completed:

Dr. Mark Calandro was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Illinois Rehabilitation Association and the Human Rights Committee of both the Developmentally Disabled and the Mentally Ill of the Anna State Hospital in 1979.   Also in 1979, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Southern Illinois Rehabilitation Association and the Chairman of the Illinois Department of Mental Health "Technical Resource Committee" of the Integrated Service System.

Two workshops on Vocational Evaluation were presented by Dr. Calandro to over 50 counselors and supervisors of the Colorado Division of Rehabilitation in Colorado Springs in 1976, and the Colorado Department of Institutions In-Service Training in Vail, Colorado in 1975.
